Jean McNair students and families, mark your calendars for a Health and Nutrition Fair Feb. 1

Jean McNair Elementary School will host a Health and Nutrition Fair on February 1 from 5 - 8p.m. for third through fifth grade students and their families to kick off “heart health” month in 2012. 

Freshman Boys Basketball - TIME CHANGE

The Freshman Boys Basketball game scheduled for Tues., Jan. 31 at Oregon will start at 4:30pm prior to the FS game at 5:45pm.  Please contact the Activities Office if you have any questions at 815-335-2336.

Girls Basketball Reschedule UPDATE

The Girls BB game at Oregon has been rescheduled to Wed., Jan. 25 with the FS starting at 5:45pm and the Var to follow. Also the make-up game at North Boone on Sat., Feb. 4 has been adjusted to have the FS game start at 10:00am with the Var game to follow.

Incoming Freshman Orientation for 2012-13 School Year February 2

Are you an incoming WHS incoming Freshmen? It is already time to look toward the 2012-2013 school year—and Freshmen year of high school!  The transition to high school is exciting!  It requires a new way of thinking and a whole new set of information and guidelines. 

Institute Day Fun returns for Winnebago Students- Deadline February 10

Back by popular demand, the Winnebago School District, under the auspices of the Carol White PE grant, and in collaboration with the Winnebago Park District, Severson Dells Forest Preserve, and the YMCA Camp Winnebago, is excited to announce three new outdoor education programs on non-school attendance days. 

WHS student auditions for American High School Honors Performance Series at Carnegie Hall

Winnebago High School student Alex Finley has been selected for the 2012 American High School Honors Performance Series at Carnegie Hall. He will be a part of the Honors Band as a Tuba.  Participation in the Honors Orchestra, Honors Band, and Honors Choir is limited to the highest rated high school performers from across North America and select international schools.
